The new waiting room and ticket office are very smart, and the small lending library is an excellent touch.
I should like to thank all involved.

Fancy a challenge or a change from counting sheep to get to sleep?

Down below what used to be the station goods yard is The Great Wall of Todmorden.

This was built to stop the railway falling into the canal and contains at least an estimated 2 million bricks.

No-one has ever actually counted them all so if you're looking for something to do!!

A 'skew bridge is one that crosses something at an angle of say 45 degrees. Most bridges are at 90 degrees t what they are crossing.

Just a couple of facts about the Railway Station. The slope where Lion plaque is used to be the Station
Master's House. There was a walkway from the station over the road and into the second floor of the Queen Hotel. You may be able able to make out, where the walkway went into the Queen directly above the door.

I have been told, although I am not sure, that the bridge up past
Shade, is or was, the longest skew bridge in the world!

The station has become a friendly adventure! Who knows what you might see there. Certainly a place to be proud of! Well done good people of Tod!
